Biography:
Lixia Zhang received her Ph.D in computer science from the Massachusetts?Institute of Technology and joined the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center?as a member of the research staff. She joined the faculty of UCLA’s?Computer Science Department in 1996. In the past she has served as the?vice chair of ACM SIGCOMM (1999-2003), member of the editorial board?for the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking (1992-1998), and the?Internet Architecture Board (1994-1996, 2005-2009). Zhang is now co-chairing the Routing Research Group under IRTF. She is a fellow of?ACM and a fellow of IEEE, and recipient of 2009 IEEE Internet Award.
