I am a language teacher and language-teacher educator/trainer. I work in the Masters in Applied Linguistics program at the National Autonomous University of Mexico's central campus in Mexico City. My principle activities are with Mexican indigenous-language teachers. in colaboration with the federal Indigenous Languages and Literature Program, the National Association of Universities and the [National] Indigenous-Language Writers' Centre. The current thrust is to increase the use of distance-education techniques and technology in our education/training courses.

Being involved in teacher education/training includes, to one degree or another, being interested in changes in higher education in general, as well as developments in professional education/training, even when one's particular profession isn't to be dealt with specifically.
