I work at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts of The Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Poland). I wrote PHD thesis on cult films and their reception. I'm interested in contemporary media and advertising. Now I'm working on a book on the competence of advertising viewer.

My name is Dr. Gus de Berdt. I have been teaching at Berry College, a private quality college about 70 miles northwest of Atlanta, GA, for the last 29 years I'm Associate professor of German and Director of the Language Learning Lab. My main interests are in the methods of intregration of technology into the curriculum of language acquisition. I am especially interested in finding out how to help professionals who are less keen on technology integrating technology in their work by using the WEB. I speak Dutch, French, Spanish and German and have a good working knowledge of Latin and classical Greek. I have been involved for years in the development of materials for the language classe, including slides, video, audio and CAI.
